Prior to learning Latin Percussion and Salsa, Marie was a fine artist, teaching Life Drawing with charcoals, producing handmade graphics products, such as hand-cut and screened teeshirts, calendars with black and white photography, and various logos. She participated in Olympia’s bi-annual ArtsWalk with new shows in oils, charcoals, and mixed media. For years, with music and dance being her focus, she stopped producing art. And, now in Santa Fe, occasionally, Marie picks up her favorite media – charcoal – and explores her surroundings.
